Types of voice modulation

There are two types of voice modulation.

  1. Plus Modulation
  2. Minus Modulation

Plus Modulation:

Now first let’s understand Plus Modulation in detail. Plus modulation is the very uniques modulation which helps you to speak fast & clear. It helps you to create a wave in your voice as you start speaking. This modulation gives you energy in your voice so that you can sound excited and energetic.

Most of the Radio Jockey use plus modulation in their morning show as this modulation help RJ to speak loud & clear. It helps RJ to sound energetic so that he can make a connection with his listeners.

The significance of plus modulation:

Following are the significance of plus modulation.

  1. Your tempo should be fast
  2. You use simple modulation on word
  3. You should speak loud and clear
  4. Add expressions to each word you choose for modulation

Minus Modulation:

Minus Modulation is totally opposite to the pulse modulation. It helps the speaker to talk soft and slow. This modulation helps the speaker to create an atmosphere through his voice. He speaks soft and slow so that he can touch the heart of his listeners. The night show is the perfect example of minus modulation, where RJ speaks very soft and slow. He creates the magical atmosphere through his voice, which helps him to engage with his listeners.

  2. You use simple modulation after each word
  3. You should speak soft and clear
  4. Add expressions to each word you choose for modulation
